Founded in 1990 at the Conservatorio “Arrigo Boito” in Parma, the Trio quickly established itself as one of the leading chamber groups of its generation. Their musical development was further shaped through studies with the legendary Trio di Trieste, as well as advanced training at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena and the Fiesole School of Music. Their participation in the prestigious Isaac Stern Chamber Music Workshop at Carnegie Hall marked another significant milestone in their early career.

Over the years, Trio di Parma has received numerous major international awards, including top prizes at the Vittorio Gui Competition in Florence, the ARD International Music Competition, the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition, and the Lyon International Chamber Music Competition. In 1994, they were also honored with the Abbiati Prize by the Italian National Association of Music Critics, recognizing them as the best chamber ensemble of the year.

Their extensive performance career has taken them to some of the world’s most prestigious venues, including the Berlin Philharmonie, Wigmore Hall, and the Konzerthaus in Vienna, as well as leading festivals across Europe, the Americas, and beyond.

At Accordi Musicali Festival 2026, audiences can expect a performance that reflects the Trio’s signature blend of precision, expressive depth, and profound musical understanding—qualities that have defined their reputation for over three decades on the international stage.
