Born in France in 1950, Michel Béroff rose to international prominence after winning First Prize at the inaugural Olivier Messiaen International Piano Competition. Since then, he has been widely regarded as one of the most authoritative interpreters of Messiaen’s music. His remarkable career has led him to perform with many of the world’s leading orchestras, collaborating with iconic conductors such as Claudio Abbado, Leonard Bernstein, Pierre Boulez, Daniel Barenboim, Seiji Ozawa, Kurt Masur, and many others.

Equally active as a chamber musician, Béroff has shared the stage with outstanding artists including Martha Argerich, Augustin Dumay, Barbara Hendricks, and Lynn Harrell. Alongside his pianistic career, he has also built an impressive profile as a conductor, leading ensembles such as the Chamber Orchestra of La Scala in Milan, the Orchestre National de Lyon, and the Russian State Orchestra.

A Professor Emeritus of the Paris Conservatoire, where he taught for 25 years, Michel Béroff continues to shape new generations of musicians through masterclasses worldwide. His vast discography, featuring over 50 recordings and multiple “Grand Prix du Disque” awards, further cements his status as one of the most influential musicians of our time.

His participation in the Accordi Musicali Festival promises an exceptional musical experience and reaffirms the festival’s commitment to presenting artists of the highest international standing.
