Accordi Musicali Academy Comes to a Close

After almost two weeks of stellar masterclasses, the 2024 Accordi Musicali Academy has now officially come to a conclusion. Held in the beautiful city of Pescara from the 24th of July to the 5th of August, this new and unprecedented endeavour was hosted at the spectacular Conservatory of Music "Luisa D'annunzio", and consisted of a variety of masterclasses in three different schools – namely violin, cello, and saxophone – featuring a roster of internationally-acclaimed pedagogues and professors gathered together from all over the globe.

The cello classes were the first to open, taking place from the 24th to the 28th of July. Students of this instrument were able to benefit from tuition offered by no fewer than five different professors, including Alexander Chaushian (UK/Armenia), Marc Coppey (France), Gustav Rivinius (Germany), Gabriel Schwabe (Germany/Spain), and Special Guest Professor David Geringas (Germany/Lithuania).

Next came the saxophone courses, which ranged from the 27th to the 31st of July, with the young saxophonists training under the watchful eyes and ears of Hayrapet Arakelyan (Germany/China), Nicolas Arsenijevic (France), and Tong Yang (China).

Finally, it was the turn of the violin students, with the Academy concluding its series of masterclasses for this year’s event with a number of violin courses from the 1st to the 5th of August that featured the largest pedagogical lineup yet. Professors Pierre Amoyal (France), Boris Brovtsyn (Austria), and Chloe Hanslip (UK) were joined by Special Guests Marc Bouchkov (Belgium), Giuseppe Gibboni (Italy), Daniel Hope (UK), and Itamar Zorman (Israel), who all travelled here to Italy just for this occasion.
