Jinzhu Li, an eighteen-year-old violinist from China, began playing the violin at the age of four. In  2023, she moved to Germany to study at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt  am Main under the tutelage of Prof. Erik Schumann. Prior to this, she was selected for the  prestigious “Outstanding Innovation Talents Supporting Program” at the Music School attached to  the Xinghai Conservatory of Music in 2019, where she studied with Prof. Dan Li and Prof. Qiang  Zhang until 2023. Jinzhu was also one of the participants in the “Morningside Music Bridge”  festival from 2021 to 2024.  

Over the years, Jinzhu has participated and got prizes in various competitions, including First Prize  in Violin Group C of the 5th Zhuhai International Mozart Competition for Young Musicians in 2023  and Second Prize in 7th International Jascha Heifetz Competition for Violinists in 2025 in Lithuania.  Jinzhu is also a laureate of the 9th Sendai International Violin Competition in 2025. She was  recently awarded the Prince of Hessen Prize by the Kronberg Academy.  

As a soloist, Jinzhu has captivated audiences through solo recitals and performances with renowned  orchestras such as the Salzburg Chamber Soloists, Madrid Philharmonic Orchestra, Armenian State  Symphony Orchestra, Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, Sendai Philharmonic Orchestra,  and Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, among others. She has worked with conductors such as  Christoph Poppen, Sergey Smbatyan, Yuri Tkachenko, Junichi Hirokami, Jie Hou and Yongyan Hu.  In the summer of 2023, she toured as a soloist with the Greater Bay Area Youth Orchestra,  performing in Hong Kong, Macau, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou.  

She is currently studying as a young soloist at Kronberg Academy with Prof. Erik Schumann. Her  studies are funded by the Fidelitas-Patronage.
